Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi says criticism is part of football and will not affect his commitment or approach to the game.
Speaking on Sporty Breakfast, the Ghanaian international said he understands the pressure that comes with playing at the highest level, especially as a goalkeeper, but remains focused on his main responsibility on the pitch.
“Criticism is part of the game but it doesn’t really change anything about my game. As a goalkeeper, your priority is to save goals,” Ati-Zigi said.
The Black Stars number one explained that he has developed the ability to block out external opinions and concentrate on delivering for both his club and country.
According to him, goalkeepers are often judged by their ability to prevent goals, and that understanding helps him remain focused whenever he steps onto the pitch.
Ati-Zigi’s comments come as he continues to face the expectations and scrutiny that come with representing Ghana at the international level.
