CLIMATE CHANGE NOW A SECURITY THREAT – UPPER EAST MINISTER

The Upper East Regional Minister says climate change has moved beyond being only an environmental concern and has become a humanitarian and security challenge requiring urgent action.

 

According to the Minister, the effects of climate change are now affecting livelihoods, food production and the safety of communities.

He explained that changing weather patterns, extreme temperatures and environmental damage are putting pressure on vulnerable groups.

The Minister called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to develop solutions that will protect communities and build resilience against climate-related challenges.
