Car Falls into Construction Pit at Kasoa Liberia Camp (Barrier after Doctor Jesus Junction): Urgent Call for Safety Measures

On my way to work this morning, I witnessed a vehicle with the registration number GW-2822-14 that had fallen into a deep construction pit at the Kasoa Liberia Camp, specifically off the Winneba Highway at the barrier after Doctor Jesus Junction. The accident occurred near an ongoing road construction site, and as of now, the car remains in the pit.

The absence of safety measures, such as reflective signs or barriers, contributed significantly to this incident. Drivers passing through the area are left with little warning about the potential hazards ahead, particularly in a zone under heavy construction. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but this accident underscores the urgent need for improved safety protocols.

With construction ongoing, it is critical that the contractors install reflectors, proper signage, and barriers to prevent further accidents. These safety precautions can protect both drivers and pedestrians, reducing the risk of similar incidents as work on the highway continues.

Authorities must address this situation quickly to prevent further accidents. The safety of all road users must be prioritized alongside infrastructure improvements.
