Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, have officially kicked off their training camp in Vienna, Austria, with 14 players reporting on the first day as preparations intensify for the upcoming international friendlies. Among the early arrivals are captain Jordan Ayew, Benjamin Asare, Patrick Pfeiffer, Ibrahim Sulemana, Prince Kwabena Adu, Jonas Adjetey, Daniel Agyei, Derrick Köhn, Marvin Senaya, Gideon Mensah, Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Jerome Opoku, and Joseph Tetteh Anang.
This initial group has already set the tone for the camp, with more players expected to join as the squad prepares to reach full strength in the coming days. The Austria camp marks the start of critical preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. During this phase, the technical team will focus on refining tactics, evaluating player form, and building team chemistry.
On March 27, Ghana will face Austria in Vienna in what will be an important test against European opposition. This friendly is part of the broader strategy to prepare the team for the global tournament later this year. With competition for places growing, players have a valuable opportunity to impress and secure their spot in the squad.

As more players arrive, the focus will shift to full-scale training sessions as the Black Stars aim for a strong performance in the upcoming fixtures.
