Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have returned home after a successful campaign at the Pink Ladies Cup held in the United Arab Emirates.

The Queens emerged champions of the tournament following two impressive victories during the competition. They opened their campaign with a commanding 4–0 win over Hong Kong before recording another dominant 4–0 triumph against Russia.

Ghana’s final fixture against Tanzania was later called off due to disruptions linked to tensions in the Middle East. However, with the best results in the competition, the organisers declared the Black Queens winners of the Pink Ladies Cup and presented them with the trophy.

The team also picked up individual honours at the tournament. Forward Doris Boaduwaa finished as the top scorer, while goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan was named the best goalkeeper of the competition.

The victory marks an important boost for the Black Queens as they continue preparations for upcoming  assignments and seek to strengthen their position in women’s football.

The team’s triumph has been widely praised by football fans and officials, who believe the performance signals a positive future for women’s football in Ghana.
