At the City Ground, CHELSEA proved to be too formidable for Nottingham Forest.

Mykhailo Mudryk’s goal gave the Blues the lead after just eight minutes of play.

 

Cole Palmer was his typical hectic self, causing issues for Forest

 

It was not a good day for Benoit Badiashile of the Blues.

 

But just eight minutes later, Wily Boly’s header put them behind the sticks.

With a goal in the 74th minute from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Forest felt they might have won.

But Chelsea had other plans. In the 80th minute, Raheem Sterling tied the score, and two minutes later, Nicolas Jackson scored the game-winning goal.

Here is evaluation of the Blues.

 

DJORDJE PETROVIC
In order to save Chelsea early on, he had to be alert to avoid being lobbed by Chris Wood. flailed at a few of set-piece deliveries, but in all honesty, got very little chance to show off.

TREVOH CHALOBAH
enjoyed a close fight that he narrowly avoided with Forest’s highly skilled Callum Hudson-Odoi. shifted to the center half to support Thiago Silva after Badiashile was replaced.

THIAGO SILVA
made the game appear effortless as always. He was always in the right place at the right time in his penultimate match for Chelsea. In his last away game, he came close to scoring a rare goal, but his header struck the post. When he leaves this summer, it will be much missed.

BADIASHILE, BENOIT
first caught off guard by Chris Wood, but Petrovic saved him by denying the New Zealand attacker. booked for giving up the foul that allowed Willy Boly to equalize the score; Boly was then played slightly offside. After 58 minutes, I left—it was a difficult day at work.

Marc Cucurella
showed a great deal of intelligence by moving from his regular left-back position to that of a holding midfielder when Chelsea had the ball. occasionally had trouble stopping balls to the back post.

MOISES CAICEDO
In the center of the park, he stood his ground and appeared fairly sturdy. earned a point for helping to set up Sterling’s equalizer. Later, he set up Jackson’s winner with a late crossfield pass that sent Reece James racing clear.

CONOR GALLAGHER
received a yellow card for sabotaging Callum Hudson-Odoi, which put an end to a potentially fruitful Forest break. Worked his normal long shift.

NONI MADUEKE
I cannot claim to have won our unusual old war with Ola Aina. Not surprisingly, he became engrossed shortly before the hour.

COLE PALMER
supplied the pivotal pass that split Forest apart for Mudryk’s first goal, and if Nicolas Jackson hadn’t fumbled his lines, he would have had a second assist. also supplied the free kick from which Thiago Silva nearly scored. Chelsea’s imaginative spark.

MYKHAILO MUDRYK
managed to score his fifth Premier League goal of the season, finally, outside of West London. a rough afternoon down the left for Gonzalo Montiel, the World Cup winner of Argentina.

NICOLAS JACKSON
missed a snippet that Palmer put through on goal. then let Forest’s set-piece goal go in without Boly. But when he pounced to head home Chelsea’s late winner, he silenced his many detractors.

SUBS –  RAHEEM STERLING
came on to screams of “What a waste of money” when, after 73 minutes, he took Mudryk’s position. But with just his second goal since November 25, he calmed the Forest supporters with a stunning cut inside and curler into the far corner to tie Chelsea.

Raheem Sterling performed the supersub position.

REECE JAMES
changed to After 79 minutes, Conor Gallagher entered the game, and three minutes after he did, Chelsea scored twice! With an inch-perfect cross, he beat Forest ‘keeper Matz Sels and set Nic Jackson up for the winner.

MALO GUSTO
Sent on for Benoit Badiashile after 59 minutes and most likely wishes he hadn’t. led by Callum Hudson-Odoi, who bent the ball past Djordje Petrovic, who was unable to see, by using him as a shield.

Christoper Nkunku,
Immediately before the hour, poked a finish over the crossbar after replacing Madueke.
