Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for introducing the Taxation (Use of Fiscal Electronic Devices) Act, 2018.

According to him, the law was a significant step towards improving tax administration, enhancing revenue mobilisation, and reducing leakages within Ghana’s tax system.

Speaking on the government’s fiscal measures, Dr. Forson acknowledged that the introduction of electronic fiscal devices was a positive policy initiative that could help strengthen compliance and transparency in tax collection.

He, however, stressed the need for effective implementation and the use of modern technology to maximise the benefits of such reforms.
