Ashanti Regional Treasurer of NDC Urges Party Unity Ahead of 2028 Polls

The Ashanti Regional Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Marvin Philip Frazer Norman, has issued a clarion call to party faithful, stressing that absolute unity is the only pathway to victory in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with News Arena GH ahead of upcoming branch elections, Mr. Frazer Norman warned that internal friction and “unnecessary misunderstandings” serve only as distractions that hinder the party’s progress.
He emphasized that for the NDC to retain power, every member, from the grassroots to the regional executive level, must prioritize the collective interest of the party over personal grievances. According to him, a united front is non-negotiable if the party intends to successfully navigate the challenges of the next electoral cycle.
”I am personally here for the party as Regional Treasurer to ensure that the welfare of our youth is never trampled upon,” he stated. “Love and mutual respect must be the pillars of our engagements, from the branch level through to the national stage.”
Making Ashanti NDC “Attractive and Colourful”

In a strategic move to broaden the party’s appeal in the region, the Treasurer revealed plans to modernize the Ashanti Regional branch.m, stating his goal is to create a vibrant environment that attracts intellectual capital and energetic youth. He outlined key Highlights of his vision which include, making the Ashanti NDC more “attractive and colourful” for prospective members. Also is Inclusivity, Encouraging aspiring young leaders to bring their knowledge and support to the table, and implementing a disciplined strategy to ensure the NDC secures a massive 50% vote share in the Ashanti Region by 2028.
As the party prepares for its internal branch elections, Mr. Norman urged all contenders to prioritize the collective interest over personal ambitions. He asserted that a peaceful internal transition is the first step toward a unified front capable of retaining power over the incumbent government.
”We will ensure that the Ashanti Region remains a stronghold of peace and unity during and after our internal elections,” he concluded. “If we remain united retaining the election 2028 becomes easier.”He lamented.
