Asante Kotoko is poised to appoint a new Technical Director, according to Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

This development follows changes announced by the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) on Monday. Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has been a member of the IMC, has stepped down from his position.

This move, reportedly approved by the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Manhyia Palace, will enable Dr Ogum to concentrate fully on his role as head coach and guide the team toward achieving its competitive goals.

To enhance Dr. Ogum’s efforts, the club has decided to recruit a Technical Director. This strategic addition aims to bolster the team’s performance as Kotoko looks to recover from a difficult start to the Ghana Premier League season.

The Porcupine Warriors have faced significant criticism after going five consecutive games without a victory.

However, they recently broke that streak with a 2-0 win over Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.

Currently, Asante Kotoko holds 7th place in the league standings with 18 points from 12 matches.

The Porcupine Warriors are set to face their arch-rivals, Hearts of Oak, in their Matchday 13 encounter on Sunday.
