Promising young footballer Abdul Razak Salihu has spoken of his determination to reach the highest level of the game after building an impressive reputation across Ghana’s lower divisions with a string of strong performances and consistent contributions.
The 18-year-old forward has already featured in 30 matches, playing in 27 of them, and has delivered outstanding numbers with 17 goals, 8 assists, and 7 Most Valuable Player awards — statistics that underline his growing influence on the pitch.
Salihu’s football journey began with Beckys Academy Senya Juvenile, where he first showcased his natural talent and eye for goal. Since then, he has continued to develop his game through spells with several clubs, including Razgold Football Academy at Abora Amoanda Division Two, Sowutuom United in the Third Division, Fettehman United in Division Two, and now Top Talent FC in Division Two.
One of the youngster’s most notable achievements came in 2023, when he played a key role in helping Sowutuom United qualify for the second round of the Middle League. He had earlier enjoyed similar success with Razgold Football Academy, guiding them to the Middle League in 2022.
His winning mentality remained evident in 2025, as he once again contributed significantly to another qualification campaign, this time with Fettehman United, helping the side secure a place in the Middle League.
Currently, Salihu is with Top Talent FC, where the club sits in 12th position on the league table. Despite the team’s current standing, the teenager remains optimistic and focused on making a difference in the remainder of the campaign.
Speaking about his journey and ambitions, Salihu expressed gratitude for every opportunity he has received so far.
> “I am proud of how far I have come, but I know this is only the beginning. Every club I have played for has helped me grow as a player and as a person,” he said.
He also highlighted his hunger to keep improving and his dream of reaching the professional level.
> “My focus is to continue working hard, scoring goals, helping my team and learning every day. I believe with discipline, dedication and God’s grace, I can play at the highest level and make my family proud.”

The talented attacker added that he hopes to one day represent bigger clubs and possibly earn the chance to play abroad.
> “My future target is to play in the Ghana Premier League, move overseas and achieve great things in football. I know the journey will not be easy, but I am ready for it.”
With his goal-scoring instinct, experience beyond his years and determination to succeed, Abdul Razak Salihu is certainly one to watch in the coming seasons.
