President John Dramani Mahama has made further changes to his government, reassigning Labour Minister Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo and Deputy Defence Minister Ernest Brogya Genfi to new positions.
In the latest changes announced by the Presidency, Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo has been moved from the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment to the Office of the President as Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives.
Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, who previously served as Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives, will now take over as Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment.
Deputy Defence Minister Ernest Brogya Genfi has also been reassigned as Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.
The Presidency says the changes form part of efforts to strengthen government coordination and improve the delivery of its programmes.
The latest adjustments come after an earlier reshuffle by President Mahama as he continues to realign his administration.
