“I am ready to contest in the NPP Parliamentary Candidate Aspirant elections in Dormaa Central” – Dr. Yaw Yeboah

Dr. Yaw Yeboah, the 2023 NPP Parliamentary Candidate Aspirant for Dormaa Central and former Deputy CEO of Volta Aluminum Company (VALCO), has announced his intention to contest in the upcoming NPP Parliamentary Candidate Aspirant elections. His objective is to secure a victory that will enable him to represent Dormaa in Parliament, advocating for the development of the constituency.

According to Dr. Yaw Yeboah, he has been striving to lead the NPP in the Dormaa Central Constituency for the past 18 years, although his previous attempts have been unsuccessful. Despite this, he remains steadfast in his ambition and is determined to realize his dream of serving in Parliament.

He indicated that he began his quest to lead the NPP in 2008, and although unsuccessful, he has remained loyal to the party in Dormaa Central. He facilitates the admission of more than 20 individuals yearly in pursuing tertiary education mainly in Nursing emphasizing that he has also facilitated job opportunities for others.

He expresses no regrets over these years, emphasizing his readiness to deliver growth and progress in the constituency if given the opportunity.

Dr. Yeboah asserts that his name is well-known in Dormaa Central, and thus extensive campaign efforts are unnecessary to reintroduce him for a victory in 2028. This is in contrast to the need for marketing a new candidate. He emphasizes that the parliamentary seat is currently held by the NDC and contends that only a seasoned candidate, like himself, with a long-standing plan and motive, can successfully reclaim it for the NPP in the 2028 general elections.

Dr. Yaw Yeboah emphasized that the primary mandate of a Member of Parliament is to legislate for the nation. However, he acknowledged additional responsibilities, such as facilitating development for constituents, with the aim of alleviating hardships.

He expressed his commitment to diligently ensuring that every opportunity afforded to the Member of Parliament is transparently distributed among constituents, whether in the form of employment, education, or other areas, without any slots being sold.

Dr. Yeboah stated his intention to lead the fight against corruption, with the goal of ensuring that prosperity is not limited to politicians, but rather, Ghanaian citizens also receive their equitable share of the national resources. He pledged to work tirelessly to drive substantial development in Dormaa Central.
