Five robbery suspects have been arrested by the Central East regional police command; breaking a sophisticated syndicate.
The suspects, Bismark Amponsah aka Dotcom- 32years, driver, Abdul Razak Ibrahim alias Langa, 32, Michael Annor Baah alias Money, 29, Razak Jibril aka Salaala, 53 years old, trader, and an ex-convict who served a 25 years jail term for robbery and released in 2023 and leader of the Nana Yaw Bediako, 46years old trader also an ex convict, who was jailed for 15 years for a robbery offense and released in 2024 following series of successful robberies within Kasoa, Millenium City and Agona Swedru were plotting yet another attacks when police intercepted their plan.
On May 9, 2026, sustained surveillance and intelligence-led operations by officers of the Police Intelligence Department(PID) of the Central East Regional Command led to their arrest.
Police retrieved a pump action gun with 54 BB cartridges, a foreign pistol with 38 9mm ammunition, a taser with three magazines and other dangerous implements from the suspects in Kasoa and Agona Swedru.

All suspects were arraigned before then Ofaakor Circuit court on Tuesday and remanded into police custody to reappear on May 27, 2026.
Central East regional police commander, DCOP Francis Nchor, revealed to Citi News that a faceless suspect believed to be operating from the Ankaful Prisons as an architect of dangerous robbery operations is yet to be identified.
The commander has reiterated the resolve of the command to prevent crime and arrest perpetrators. He however urges collaboration from the civilian publpublic.
