Twifo Praso Magistrate Court in the Twifo Atti- Morkwa district of the Central Region led by his Worship Cephas Atidzoe Esq and the chief prosecutor Joseph Kusah has fined two investigators and two BECE teachers 3,000 Ghana Cedis each for involvement in examination malpractice at their respective centers.
The individuals involved are Mr. David Kwabena Mensah, Mrs. Ruth Ampah, Millicent Marfo, and Mr. Kennedy Anokye.
According to the court’s statement, Mr. Mensah was found guilty of leaking an examination paper, violating section 4(B) of the West African Examination Council Act of 2006.
Additionally, Mr Mensah, aged 38, used a mobile phone to photograph an exam paper and shared it via WhatsApp.
Mrs Ampah She also aided candidates by dictating answers, breaching section 20(1) of the Criminal Offences Act and sections 9 and 6 of the West Africa Examination Council Act of 2006.
Mrs. Marfo and Mr. Anokye conspired to illegally possess examination materials, contrary to section 23 of the Criminal Offences Act and section 3 of the West Africa Examination Council Act.
They acted together at Twifo Praso Senior High School Examination Center.
