The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency has warned the Minority Caucus to stop visiting cocoa farms and misleading farmers with lies about cocoa pricing.
NDC executives in Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency, Central Region, have urged the Parliamentary Minority Caucus to halt their visits to cocoa farms aimed at throwing dust in farmers’ eyes and spreading falsehoods about cocoa pricing.
The party also debunked inflammatory remarks by the chief of Essandokrom against former President John Dramani Mahama and MP Hon. Felix Ofosu Kwakye during the Minority’s visit to cocoa farmers at Obengkrom.

At a press conference, NDC Communications Officer Nana Attakora Asante condemned the chief, noting his records show he’s an active NPP member and caretaker chief. He called on the chief to stay out of politics, respect Essandokrom residents, and acknowledge constituency developments under Mahama and Kwakye’s leadership.
The officer rejected the chief’s claims that Mahama and Kwakye have underperformed, insisting they’re baseless political attacks from an NPP partisan.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy, highlighted numerous projects completed in just one year and four months, transforming the district.
He demanded an unqualified apology from the chief for tarnishing Mahama and Kwakye’s images—and warned that if the chief wants to play politics, the NDC is ready to confront him head-on.
The DCE urged residents to reject the chief’s statements entirely.
