President Mahama’s return to the Presidency reflects his achievements during his first term – Dormaa Twafohene

The Chief of Kofiasua, who also serves as the Twafohene of the Dormaa Traditional Council, Barimah Twumasi Bekoe II, has expressed that President John Dramani Mahama’s return to the Presidency stands as a testament to the significant and impactful achievements realized during his initial term in office.
According to Barima Osei Twumasi Bekoe II, it is unprecedented in the history of Ghana for a President to serve a one-year term, be voted out, and then successfully win another general election eight years after his defeat. This, he argues, underscores the development and progress President Mahama facilitated in the nation before his electoral loss.
He has bestowed upon the President the title “Ababio,” suggesting that leaders who are given a second chance in leadership often achieve extraordinary feats stressing that the remarkable developmental projects undertaken by President Mahama within one year and four months of his second term are indicative of the experience he gained during his eight years in opposition and his unwavering commitment to serving Ghana with humility.
During his address at the Accounting to the People Series held at Dormaa Ahenkro Schaefer Presbyterian Church, Barima Osei Twumasi Bekoe II commended the efforts of the NDC government in providing accountability to the traditional leaders and residents of Dormaa Central.
He said this initiative, led by the regional Minister and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), reflects their commitment to advancing development and progress within the region. He expressed that the traditional leaders will offer their prayers for the successful completion of ongoing projects and those yet to be initiated, aiming to transform Dormaa Central and the Bono region as a whole.
