A fire has destroyed equipment worth over GHS 300,000 at Suit Printing Press in Kasoa. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, during a rainstorm. Despite the prompt notification of the fire service, their efforts were unsuccessful in preventing the fire from spreading throughout the business’s main operating area.
The blaze completely destroyed large-format printers and other critical installations. Victoria Adobea, the owner of the printing press, believes the fire may have been triggered by a power fluctuation, as eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke shortly after an explosion from the power transformer nearby.

This marks the second fire incident in Kasoa’s Central Business District in less than a week. A recent fire at a phone shop in the area caused damages exceeding GHS 1.5 million. Victoria has appealed for support to help her recover and rebuild her business.
