POLICE ARREST SUSPECT OVER ILLEGAL MINING AND UNLAWFUL ROAD DIVERSION AT TARKWA BREMANG

 

The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested the Assembly Member for the Tarkwa Bremang Electoral Area, Isaac Duku, also known as Agoogi, for engaging in illegal mining and unlawfully diverting a public road onto his private land.

 

The arrest, which took place on 19th July 2025 at Dortaso near Tarkwa, followed a report lodged by residents at the Bawdie Police Station on 14th July 2025, indicating that the suspect had diverted the main community access road without authorisation and was conducting illegal mining operations on the diverted stretch.

 

The suspect is currently assisting investigations.
