Asante Kotoko secured a dramatic late 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday to stretch their unbeaten run over their arch-rivals.
This win ensures that Kotoko record three consecutive league wins over the Phobians and it becomes four matches if one will include their 2-1 win in the pre-season Democracy Cup.
Albert Amoah was the hero again, netting his seventh of the season deep into injury time, after a mix-up in the rear involving Hearts’ defender Kelvin Osei Asibey and goalkeeper Benjamin Asare. The goal capped a tense encounter that seemed destined to end all square until the late drama unfolded.
