Mauricio Pochettino is apparently on NEWCASTLE’s radar, should Eddie Howe accept the England position.
The 46-year-old toon chief Howe is undecided about staying with the Magpies or accepting a dream position with his nation.

According to The Mirror, if Newcastle needs a new manager, their top priority is Pochettino, and they would prefer to make a choice quickly.
August 17 is less than a month away, when they play Southampton in their Premier League debut.
Howe was much admired by Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, both of whom have moved on from Newcastle.
However, Poch was recruited to Southampton by Paul Mitchell, the new sporting director, so he might view this as the ideal chance for a reunion.
Pochettino, 52, the former manager of Chelsea, and Mitchell collaborated at Tottenham as well.
Howe revealed in a book that will be published next month that he has always wanted to manage England.
He discussed his goal of playing for the Three Lions in an interview that SunSport exclusively obtained before Gareth Southgate resigned.
Howe responded, “Would that be something I would like to do at some stage of my career?” when asked if he would like to manage England. Indeed!
However, I’m not too concerned about it because I think that everything happens for a reason. Should it be intended for me, it will occur; if not, it won’t.
“Gareth is someone I adore greatly; he has accomplished so much for England.”
In the book Toast to Fifty Years.Howe continued on Sporting Frontline, saying, “I loved England as a kid.”
“I used to like dressing up as Gary Lineker and playing for England in the garden.
“One of my inspirations, Gary Lineker, was someone I adored. Although I didn’t score any goals, I still gave it my best shot and became a defender.
“I was and still am extremely passionate about the success of my country, England.”
Howe is regarded by England officials as a front-runner for the position.
Another candidate is Pochettino himself, while Graham Potter and Lee Carsley have garnered a lot of support.
Howe spoke with reporters on Friday at the Toon’s pre-season training camp in Germany, breaking his quiet and discussing his future.
“This is all about Newcastle, and I’m very proud to be the manager of Newcastle,” Howe stated.
“I haven’t thought of anything other than Newcastle as long as I’m happy, feel supported, and can work how I want to work. It’s not about England.”
“I’m in love with the club,” I adore those who have supported me. In my career, I’m happy where I am. There’s nowhere better for me to be right now. I feel that way.
“Hopefully, the response I just provided contains all the information you require.
It’s not about England for me. Definitely someone else’s conversation is England. It is not owned by me. Newcastle is my name.
It is incorrect to discuss anything else while Newcastle’s manager is in charge. I don’t think I need to respond to that again. The response is evident.
Because of Financial Fair Play restrictions, Newcastle was unable to make it to Europe in the previous campaign despite suffering a significant number of injuries.
However, Toon’s Saudi owners will support whoever is in the dugout now that the new PSR window is open.
