The new transfer window for Manchester United has closed, thanks to ERIK TEN HAG.
This summer, United has been quite active in the transfer market, spending a total of £88.5 million to acquire Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.

The new sporting director Dan Ashworth, whom the club plucked from Newcastle earlier this month, has made his first appointments.
In the brief weeks Ashworth has been employed, their hiring procedure has also undergone a significant transformation, with both Ten Hag and he agreeing on goals before making any approaches.
“With the sporting director, we determine the composition of the selection together, and together we conduct that process,” Ten Hag stated to the Dutch source AD.
“If we don’t agree, it won’t continue.” That was the situation at Ajax. Really rather easy.”
In addition to Ashworth, United has named Christopher Vivell as interim director of recruitment and Jason Wilcox as technical director.
And while he concentrates on his present group of players, Ten Hag is more than willing for the trio to scout out possible targets.
“You can no longer scout yourself as a manager in modern football,” he declared. That doesn’t function in that manner for very long.
“Yes, that base is now more robust. Much of my ability to spy and recruit has been taken away from me.”
Before the transfer window ends on August 31, United hopes to bolster their defense further. They are actively pursuing the signing of Matthijs de Ligt, a defender for Bayern Munich.
While Ten Hag has trained De Ligt during his tenure as Ajax manager, he acknowledges he’s not convinced he can entice him to Old Trafford.
“It’s still unclear whether Matthijs de Ligt—whom I know well—will attend,” he remarked.
Two years ago, I was hoping to sign him, but he was already well on his way to joining Bayern. Surprisingly, I did not come up with his name during that procedure.
“I was three or four weeks out of the procedure when I went on vacation.
“During that time, the club’s freshly outfitted scouting and recruitment department was mostly responsible for bringing in these players.
It is merely a coincidence that there are Dutch folks among them as well.
“These players were primarily recommended by our organization.
“But let me be clear—I support it, of course. And we continue to decide together.”
