Okudzeto Ablakwa Chairs Committee on Government Assurances in Parliament

Okudzeto Ablakwa is known for his recent exposes and fights against what he describes as state capture by the current government.

In a post announcing his recent appointment, the legislator said he was humbled by the August House’s show of trust in him.

He indicated that he would ensure that the people of Ghana benefit from the democracy the country is practising.

I am most humbled by Parliament’s decision to make me Chairman of the Committee on Government Assurances.

This is another call to render diligent, patriotic, meaningful, honest and uncompromising parliamentary oversight in the supreme national interest.

I am happy to hear from you all on the matters you will want our committee to prioritize — specifically, on the government assurances and pledges you wish for us to urgently pursue.

We must all help make Ghanaian democracy benefit everyone and not just a select few.
