President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated Majority Leader, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin as the Board Chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana.
The lawmaker takes over from Herbert Krapa, appointed Minister of State at the Energy Ministry.
A statement communicating the nomination and signed by Secretary to the President, Ambassador Nana Asante Bediatuo reads in part “The President of the Republic has nominated Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin (MP.), Member of Parliament for Effutu in the Central Region, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (the “Company.)
Kindly take the necessary steps to give effect to the President’s nomination in accordance with the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992) and the Regulations of the Company.
