To look into a complaint from Getafe over an alleged slur directed at Mason Greenwood by Jude Bellingham, LALIGA has sent in a lip reader.

The reported incident happened on Thursday night during Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory against Getafe.

 

In order to look into an event involving Jude Bellingham and Mason Greenwood, LaLiga has brought in a lip reader.

 

Bellingham is believed to have made a derogatory comment against Greenwood on Thursday during the Getafe vs. Real Madrid game.

 

Bellingham was seen on camera muttering an alleged slur.

 

It happened after Bellingham tackled Greenwood.

 

It happened after Bellingham, an England international, tackled the Manchester United player who was on loan.

Bellingham, 20, was caught on camera seemingly muttering an obscenity at Greenwood; the video quickly went viral on social media.

Getafe responded by requesting that match official Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea include a note about the incident in his match report.

The leaders of the Spanish League are unable to punish players.

 

However, if specialists certify “indisputably” that Bellingham insulted Greenwood, they will forward the case to the Spanish Football Federation’s disciplinary committee.

After watching video, a Daily Mail report claimed that an experienced lid-reader they had employed was “97 per cent confident” that Bellingham had uttered the supposed obscenity.
