Over the weekend was the ground durbar of the 2023 odwira festival at Nsawam Adoagyiri hosted by Nana Okoanadwo Effutu Dompreh II who is the Ankobeahene of the Kotoku Traditional Area and the queen mother Nana Anima Afra II who is also the Ankobeahemaa of the Kotoku Traditional Area.
A lot of dignitaries was present at the festival. Some of the dignitaries are Hon. Mark Okraku Mante who is the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Art and culture, Hon Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng – MCE for Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality, Maame Ama Frimpong who represented the Director General of NLA Hon Sammy Awuku and many more.
During the speech of Hon Kwadwo Buabeng -MCE for Nsawam Adoagyiri, he highlighted on what the NPP government has done for the constituency through the MP Hon Frank Annor Dompreh who is the majority chief whip and also what they have intended to do more for them.
The Deputy Minister for Tourism Art and culture Hon Mark Okraku Mante thanked the chief of Nsawam Adoagyiri Nana Okoanadwo Effutu Dompreh II for making the festival possible because festival brings about unity, promote Tourism, and attract people from places.
Nana Anima Afra II, the queen mother of Nsawam Adoagyiri and the Ankobeahemaa of the the Kotoku Traditional Area spoke about the theme of the festival which is “Education, the way to accelerated development at Adoagyiri” and advised the youth especially the ladies to take their education seriously.
