On Tuesday, March 7, heavy rains caused flooding in several parts of Accra, including Circle, Ogbojo, Shiashi, Kasoa old barrier, Weija, Dansoman, and Lapaz.

According to Komla Adom of Media General, commuters coming from Madina to town faced difficulties crossing the rivers at Okponglo and Shiashi, with some small cars even getting stuck in the flooded waters.

The rains started at approximately 3:40am, causing concern for residents in flood-prone areas. Ben Doste Malor took to Facebook to express his worry, saying, “These heavy, windy, and noisy rains could do a lot of damage. I pray for people in flood-prone areas. Mercy.”
