During a training workshop forum for organizers and their deputies held in Cape Coast by the Central Regional branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), the National Organizer, Mr. Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, expressed confidence that the NPP will secure victory in the 2024 general elections. He stated that the NPP’s objective of “breaking the eight” was achievable, despite the potential challenge posed by former President John Dramani Mahama.
Nana B cited Mahama’s two previous defeats in the 2016 and 2020 general elections and claimed that a third defeat in 2024 would be a “disgrace” and further evidence of Mahama’s incompetence. He further stated that the NPP would use Mahama’s track record to demonstrate his lack of credibility and prove that he has nothing to offer Ghanaians.
The training workshop was aimed at building the capacity of constituency youth and organizers, women’s organizers, and their deputies ahead of the 2024 general elections. Participants were taken through mobilization and communication strategies among other topics. Some of the dignitaries present included the National Women’s Organizer of NPP, Madam Kate Gyamfua, and the National Youth Organizer, Mr. Salam Mustapha.
