🚨 Police Arrest 19 Over Illicit Drug and Robbery Activities at Dominase Onion Market; Identification Parade Scheduled
The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested 19 individuals suspected of engaging in illicit drug trade and robbery activities at the Onion Market enclave in Gomoa Dominase, within the Central Region.
The arrests followed a special intelligence-led operation conducted on Wednesday, June 12, 2025, aimed at cracking down on criminal activities in the Kasoa Dominase area.
The suspects arrested include: Abubakari Ibrahim, Mohammed Awal, Shafiu Salisu, Hamza Amadu, Ali Adamu, Balhani Fuseini, Jamal Haruna, Zakari Abdulai, Abdul Aziz, Bera Kalidu, Moro Baki, Anthony Lucky, Razak Yussif, Sumani Issah, Sulley Mohammed, Abdul Salifu, Eliasu Bukari, Kamelo Muuk, and Osumanu Amadu.
During the operation, police retrieved quantities of substances suspected to be Indian hemp, along with controlled pharmaceutical drugs such as Tramadol and Red.
All 19 suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations. They will be processed for court in due time.
The Command has commended the personnel involved in the successful operation and encouraged them to continue their relentless efforts to combat crime in the region.
Additionally, following a press release dated June 13, 2025, the Central East Regional Police Command is inviting members of the public who may have been victims of robbery within the Dominase enclave to participate in an identification parade.
📍 The identification parade will take place on Sunday, June 16, 2025, at exactly 10:00 AM at the forecourt of the Central East Regional Police Headquarters.
The police assure the public that adequate safety measures have been put in place to protect both the suspects in custody and any victims who may attend the parade.
The Command urges the public to support their efforts by providing credible information to help eliminate illicit drug trade, robbery, and related crimes in the region, thereby promoting a safer environment for all.
