Women have greatly contributed to the state of Ghana’s Politics and development – NDC communication Officer
The deputy Communication officer of the National Democratic Congress for the Dormaa Central constituency of the Bono region, Mad Nketia Hagar has underscored the contribution of women in the enhancement of political activities of the Country.
Speaking with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa in an exclusive interview, Mad Hagar Nketia noted that males have over the years dominated political activities in the country but females’ inclusion in some sensitive political positions in recent times and their output and dedication in their work delivery has boosted the hopes and confidence of other women to be actively involved in politics to support the course of the country’s development no matter the challenges they face.
She emphasized that the decision made by NDC to appoint a female as a running mate who will subsequently become the vice president of Ghana will ensure total liberation for women who are subjected to domestic violence and other socio-economic challenges in life.
She expressed hope in the NDC running mate that her abilities and capabilities will have a great impact on the next NDC administration to enhance the welfare of women in Ghana and facilitate the development of the country at large.
Finally, Mad Nketia Hagar encouraged women in politics and others who are willing to actively work within the political world to stay focused and resolute to ensure their dreams are well achieved.
She explained how people accuse women in politics of having sexual relationships with their male counterparts for positions and other honours stressing that these challenges of sexual accusations and others that are always levelled against women in politics must discourage but rather motivate women to work assiduously in chasing their political dreams.
