Hollywood actor Will Ferrell is set to become an investor in Leeds United, the club has announced. Ferrell, a self-proclaimed football enthusiast, has reportedly been in talks with the club’s ownership group and is expected to bring a new level of enthusiasm and support to Elland Road.

Ferrell, 55, is best known for his roles in movies such as Anchorman and Elf, but he has also been involved in various business ventures, including a production company and a wine label.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Leeds United family,” Ferrell said in a statement. “I’ve always loved football, and I’m excited to be a part of this great club’s future.”

Ferrell’s investment is seen as a coup for Leeds United, who have been looking to expand their ownership group and bring in new investment. The club’s current owner, Andrea Radrizzani, has welcomed Ferrell’s involvement, saying that he brings a “new level of passion and enthusiasm” to the club.
