We’re not mandated to oversee products that make spiritual claims – FDA

The Food and Drugs Authority says it is not within its remit to regulate products that make spiritual claims.

Influencer, Hajia Bintu has been seen in a video advertising “Chop and Stay” for young ladies who do not want their men to leave them.

The product according to the social media influencer keeps men and also make them spend on their women without having to think through their decision.

This was brought to the attention of the FDA but a tweep who thought it was wrong for such products to be advertised by such an influential person.

But the FDA responding to the tweet said “Per the law, the FDA is not mandated to oversee products that make spiritual claims”.
