US$100k National Security Bribe Hits NPP HQ Over Nicaragua ‘Jakpa’; Col Gaisie mentioned

There is tension at the New Patriotic Party Headquarters after two National Security officials used the Asylum Down office to receive US$100,000 payment for flight facilitation to Nicaragua.

The two alleged National Security boys, one Ali Mohammed Kasule (Aliu) and Robert Yaw Akumpo (Roberts) met their victims inside an office at the NPP Headquarters at Asylum Down in late 2022 to receive US$80,000 part payment.

The amount was for flight clearance for a chartered flight to Nicaragua for some youth seeking a path to the United States, MyNewsGh.com confirmed.

The two National security boys received the said money from one Mohammed Tindannayil Bala who is coordinator of the Nicaragua trip.

Giving a breakdown of the payment, 80,000 USD was paid at the NPP party office in Asylum Down while the remaining 20,000 USD was at the residence of Aliu at Nanakrom.

The money was taken from some youth seeking US greener pastures from Nima, Mamobi, New Town, 441, Kumasi, Tamale, Bimbila, Takoradi and other communities around the country using the Nicaragua road route.

Follow cancellation of the trip, the two National Security Boys are said to have gone into hiding refusing to refund the money.

They are reportedly claiming they gave some 15,000 USD to one Colonel Gaisey head of National Security at the airport which they are unable to retrieve.
