Two individuals have died by suicide in separate incidents in the Ashanti Region within a 24-hour period, according to reports from MyNewsGh.com.

In the first case, a 70-year-old farmer named Charles Mustapha from Adansi Nsese in the Edubiase District was reported missing by his family. After a lengthy search, his body was discovered hanging from a cocoa tree in a nearby farm, with a yellow nylon rope around his neck. Police were alerted and transported the body to the New Edubiase Government Hospital mortuary for preservation.

In a separate incident, a 27-year-old woman identified only as Hawa reportedly took her own life after visiting her fiancé in Bediem, near Akrofuom. Her fiancé, who was at work at the time, received a call informing him that Hawa had committed suicide by hanging in their room. Police visited the scene and found her body hanging from the ceiling. The body was then taken to OD Mortuary Services in Obuasi, where it will be held for an autopsy.
