Topman Multimedia Institute joined hands with EIB Network Ghana to celebrate Ghana Month, broadcasting the celebration live in Accra. The director of the school, Mr. Dominic Amponsah, and his team participated in the event.
During an interview with representatives from Kente, they emphasized the importance of using local garments like Kente and tie and dye to promote Ghanaian culture globally. They also highlighted the good quality of Ghana-made products and encouraged Ghanaians to own them.
The conversation also delved into the benefits of Ghanaian herbals, which were deemed healthier than Western medicine. The interviewees urged for the compulsory teaching of local languages in schools to preserve Ghana’s culture.
The Ghana Month celebration is an annual event that marks Ghana’s independence, aimed at promoting Ghana’s culture. Traditional Ghanaian food, such as Aprepresa, was also discussed during the event, with an emphasis on its health benefits.
In addition, an interview with the Beads Association shed light on the significance of wearing different beads for various occasions.
During the Celebration of Ghana Month, A great Muscian King Ayisoba lunch his new album feat by Akosua Agyapong entitled (Tribe) and stated that”all parent should make sure their wards from childhood learn their local dialects and not only the English. He continue by saying that Education is a very important but we shouldn’t let it corrupt our Culture all in the name of modernisation.
Lastly, some Topman students expressed their happiness and enjoyment of the program and wished to celebrate Ghana every day.
