THEY ARE CLEAN: NII NSHIA MCDAN AND NII ARMAH QUAYE
One of the most uplifting pieces of news from last week was the announcement that two of the nation’s distinguished GaDangme business executives – Daniel Nii Nshia McKorley (McDan) and Richard Nii Armah Quaye – have been cleared of any wrongdoing following thorough investigations into their financial transactions.
Background
In April 2025, the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) of Ghana initiated investigations into the McDan Group of Companies over suspected financial-transaction anomalies and potential money-laundering risks.
Similar investigations were launched into the business activities of Nii Armah Quaye over alleged financial irregularities.
As part of standard procedure, the bank accounts of both men were frozen to allow the FIC to carry out its review.
