THE NPP WILL MAINTAIN PEACE AMIDST VICTORY AHEAD OF VICTORY FOR SOLOMON ASUMADU

‎With about five days to the Akwatia Constituency parliamentary by-election scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the two major political parties, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have intensified their campaign to win the vacant seat.

‎Both regional and national executives of the two main political parties have descended on Akwatia to win the hearts and minds of voters in the area to ensure that they vote for their respective candidates.

‎Communication Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Kwame Ampadu popularly known as Kasoa Wontumi has urged the Akwatia Constituents to work assiduously to win  the Akwatia parliamentary seat  in honor to the hardworking late Ernest Kumi.

‎Speaking in a candid interview with Kusi Damoah on Omanbapa Kasa Morning Show at Pink FM, Kwame Ampadu called on party folks to come out in their numbers to vote in condolences to the late Member of Parliament,he added that the late Member of Parliament Ernest Kumi was a very vibrant gentleman who was poised on bringing development into the Constituency.

‎He claimed the party has obtained “very reliable information and intelligence” suggesting that the NDC is planning to deploy operatives masquerading as national security personnel to intimidate residents and voters in Akwatia before and during the election, slated for Tuesday, September 2.

‎According to Mr. Ampadu, the Ghana Police Service has already committed to deploying over 5,000 officers to manage security in the constituency, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has publicly stated that the police do not require military support to maintain order.

‎But he confidently expressed disassurance in the IGP as a result on blank silence of the Ablekuma North Rerun violence.

‎”We the NPP will not rely on the Ghana Police Service but will protect ourselves because those so called conviction he does not meet our satisfaction “he added.
