The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Imam, Sheikh Zakaria Ibrahim, has noted that the resounding triumph of the NDC and John Dramani Mahama in the recent elections signifies the heightened expectations of Ghanaians for their leadership. Additionally, the Zongo communities are anticipating the essential development of their respective areas. Therefore, it is imperative for all citizens to rally behind President John Mahama and the NDC to facilitate progress for the betterment of Ghana and the world at large.

He underscored the necessity for subordinates to intercede on behalf of their leaders; therefore, it is important for Ghanaians to offer prayers for the elected President, seeking wisdom and greater insight to steer the nation towards a prosperous conclusion.

In response to the rising tide of disrespectfulness among the nation’s youth and the recent assaults on security personnel and governmental institutions, Sheik Zakaria Ibrahim attributed these issues to the issue of Single parenting and inadequate parental guidance stemming from broken homes, teenage pregnancies, and other similar challenges. He emphasized that many of today’s youth lack respect for their elders due to the poor upbringing they experienced as a consequence of familial disruptions and marital difficulties.
