Supporters Prepare to Welcome Nana Agradaa Ahead of Prison Release

Supporters of controversial Ghanaian evangelist Nana Agradaa are preparing to welcome her ahead of her expected release from custody on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Her husband, Angel Asiamah, on Sunday unveiled a special T-shirt during a church service, which he said would be worn by fans and church members to celebrate her return from the Nsawam Female Prison.

According to him, the church has also undergone repainting and minor renovations in preparation for her arrival. Seating arrangements have been put in place to accommodate the anticipated large number of followers expected to welcome their leader back.

Angel Asiamah, who appeared visibly emotional during the service, joined congregants in songs of thanksgiving as they expressed readiness to receive the evangelist, popularly known as Mama Pat.

Her release follows Ghana’s standard remission policy, which allows eligible inmates to serve two-thirds of their sentence. Her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, explained that the release date aligns with established prison regulations and does not constitute special treatment.

The development comes after the Amasaman High Court on February 5, 2026, reduced Agradaa’s original 15-year sentence to 12 months.

Authorities expect heightened activity at the church premises as supporters gather to mark her return.
