Spend time with your children and nurture them into responsible adults – parents advised
Mrs. Linda Nyarko Yeboah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Abronoma Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to the welfare of women and children, has counseled parents and guardians to remain approachable to foster open communication with their children.
In an interview with GIFTs News, Mrs. Linda Nyarko Yeboah emphasized the importance of parents and guardians dedicating sufficient time to their children, ensuring they feel at ease discussing their life challenges without fear. She underscored that parents must ensure their wards are well nurtured for a brighter future.
She underscored that parents’ failure to nurture a close bond with their children leaves them vulnerable to peer influence, which in turn can lead to various social vices that jeopardize their future. Thus, it is imperative to ensure rigorous and vigilant supervision of our children to shield them from such peer influences

Mrs. Linda Nyarko Yeboah articulated her concern regarding the apparent neglect by some parents and guardians towards their children, particularly in terms of their possessions. She underscored the necessity for parents to muster the courage to inquire about the items their children bring into the home.
She further stressed that disregarding a child’s behavior as a parent or guardian could ultimately have repercussions, especially if the child returns home with an unplanned pregnancy or any other circumstance that might impede their life’s progress therefore parents must learn to mold their children well for them to become better persons in future.
Finally, she urged all Ghanaians, the clergy, and other stakeholders to provide essential guidance and counsel to the youth for the enhancement of their future.
