Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi, also known as Roman Fada, has vowed to honor the memory of Akua Donkor, the late founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), by casting his vote for her despite her passing.

In an interview on Oyerepa FM, Roman Fada revealed challenges he faced during his attempt to run for president under the GFP ticket. He accused certain political figures of scheming to derail his bid, alleging that they pressured him to withdraw and back their candidates instead.

Roman Fada stepped in as the GFP’s presidential candidate following Akua Donkor’s sudden death, but his nomination was disqualified by the Electoral Commission (EC) due to errors in his application forms. Despite this setback, he remains resolute in his commitment to Akua Donkor’s vision.

“There are people who wanted me to abandon this cause,” he said. “But Akua Donkor believed in this party, and I have a duty to continue her legacy.”

Though the EC has declared votes for Akua Donkor invalid, Roman Fada insists he will still vote for her, stating, “Her vision for Ghana is unmatched. We owe it to her memory to keep her dreams alive.”
