President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Brazzaville to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Denis Sassou N’Guesso, who was re-elected for a fifth term as President of the Republic of Congo. The visit follows President Mahama’s recent launch of the Free Primary Healthcare Programme in Dodowa on Wednesday, April 15.
During the ceremony on Thursday morning, President Mahama will join several African leaders and dignitaries in formally welcoming President Sassou N’Guesso into office for another five-year term. The visit underscores Ghana’s ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with Central African nations. President Mahama is expected to return to Accra later the same day after the event.
