The Eastern Region police have begun investigating the suspected murder of Kpobi Aaron, a 25-year-old mobile money vendor in Akweteman, a suburb of Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality.
Aaron’s lifeless body was found by passers-by near a bush in the community with polythene around his neck hanging on a teak tree. Although there were no visible signs of assault, the police noticed a protruding tongue with a foamy mouth.
The cause of death remains unknown, but foul play is suspected by the police and other residents. Aaron’s body was taken to the Yilo Krobo District Hospital and deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
