Aduana FC assistant head coach W.O. Tandoh strongly dismissed claims that he has jinxed Hearts of Oak, labeling those who believe this as “jokers.”
He made these remarks during an explosive interview after his team secured a goalless draw against Hearts at the University of Ghana Stadium on Friday, October 4.
Despite facing a numerical disadvantage from the 57th minute due to Rich Mensah’s red card, Aduana held firm to claim a vital point, aiding their recovery from a difficult start to the 2024-2025 season.
Tandoh, who was part of the last Hearts of Oak technical team to win trophies at the club, made these comments after some fans accused him of casting a spell on the team.
Addressing the allegations, Tandoh stated, “I believe you all heard the nonsense some people were saying on platforms and radio stations. I’m sorry for those people; they don’t know what they are talking about.
Hearts of Oak’s record against Aduana FC is one of the poorest in the league. Before Friday’s game, the Phobians had lost their last five matches against the Ogya lads.
The draw means Hearts of Oak have just one win from their five games this season, with two draws and two losses.
With other teams yet to play their week five matches, Hearts of Oak sit sixth on the league table with five points.
They will play away against Young Apostles on October 13, 2024.
