Indeed, the government’s ORAL Committee identified a number of cases it said would be referred to the Attorney-General for further review and possible action.
However, with regard to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), only one investigation involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has so far been completed.
The investigation concerns his dealings with Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) and was initiated following a petition submitted by an investigative journalist.
As for the other complaints collected by the ORAL Committee, their status remains unclear, as they fall under the jurisdiction of the Attorney-General. According to Sammy Darko, he is not aware of any completed investigations related to those matters.
