After eight months behind bars, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has regained her freedom.

The controversial former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist was released from Nsawam Prison and has since reunited with her family. Her husband, Asiamah, broke the news on Facebook on Tuesday, March 3, expressing gratitude and excitement over her return home.

Her release marks a significant turn in a case that captured national attention. On July 3, 2025, she was handed a 15-year custodial sentence after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement. However, her lawyers challenged the ruling, arguing that the sentence was excessively harsh.

Upon review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the punishment to 12 calendar months, describing the initial term as unduly severe.

Having served two-thirds of the revised sentence in line with Ghana’s remission policy, Nana Agradaa is now free and expected to fellowship with her congregants later today in what will be her first public appearance since her incarceration
