Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil has celebrated his latest achievement in Major League Soccer after scoring his tenth goal in a league match between Los Angeles Galaxy and Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Black Stars forward rolled home a fine pass from Gabriel Pec to net his side’s third in the 4-2 victory over Whitecaps on Sunday evening.

The strike which was his 11th across all competitions, marked his tenth and gets him in double figures in the regular season.

“Plus three points. Double digits. Back to winning ways,” wrote the 26-year-old as he celebrated his newest milestone.

Paintsil, who joined the five time MLS champions in February, has been a key figure for the Western Conference leaders, helping them clinch a play-offs spot.

Meanwhile, in an entertaining encounter at the Dignity Health Sports Park, LA Galaxy opened the scoring through winger Gabriel Pec before half-time.

After the break, Sebastian Berhalter netted an own goal to hand the host a two-goal lead before Brian White halved the deficit.

Paintsil restored the advantage before former Barcelona midfielder Ruqui Puig put the game beyond Whitecaps.

A late consolation from Sam Adekugbe only reduced the deficit to two goals.
