Member of Parliament(MP) for Tamale North Constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has revealed that most people have always mistaken him for his younger brother Hamza S. Suhuyini, a former student leader.

The two brothers bear striking resemblance to the extent that people get confused as to who is Hamza and who is Alhassan.

Celebrating Hamza who was this week called to the UK Bar, the former Broadcaster gave a background of his name which is mostly borne by a male twin.

Let me tell you a story about the picture below. Yes, I know many of you have always mistaken me to be him either in person or on social media and mostly I don’t correct you, because I’m proud to be him. 😊

My parents say when I was born they had a name(withheld) for me, which was even proclaimed on the day of my outdooring before my grandfather arrived at the ceremony. He requested that the name be changed to Alhassan, a name usually given to a twin.

It’s said that after my birth, my mum had a couple of miscarriages and a birth that did not survive beyond one week before the young man in the picture below was born and named after the Islamic warrior, Hamza.
So he’s by far a younger brother by nature but my twin by looks and for life.

Even our children struggle to tell us apart, especially in photos,so don’t feel bad that you do too. Though he calls me his first inspiration he rather has always challenged me to be a better version of myself. Hamza S Suhuyini I have been proud of you for many things but being my brother tops it all ❤️. Congratulations on your call to the UK Bar.
