Funny Face is opening up about his battle with mental health and his time at the psychiatric ward.

The Stand up comedian was admitted to the Accra Psychiatric hospital on the recommendation of a Kaneshie District Court after he threatened to kill his baby mama and other individuals on social media.

Speaking to Berla Mundi on The Day Show, the popular comedian said he encountered God and renewed his relationship with his maker during his time at the mental institution.

“I encountered God when I went to Psychiatric and a mad man who had been there for 6 years told me my case was worse than his,” he revealed

According to him, the single moment after a week of being there changed the trajectory of his life.

“It was then I realized that I don’t belong here and I need to pray about it,” he recalled

He also was full of praise to his manager who played an important role in his recovery.

“Then again my manager came through for me. He is the only person who stood by me… We grew up together and he was telling me to be careful but i took it for granted but when life hit me…” he said.

Funny Face who cut ties with friends and mentors including the likes of Adebayor, Bola Ray and Fadda Dickson after degenerating them online said he was full of remorse for his actions and had reconciled with the affected parties.
