Premier League co-commentator Andy Townsend has commended Mohammed Kudus for his standout performance against Chelsea.
West Ham hosted Chelsea at the London Stadium in their fourth-round fixture on Saturday.
Despite West Ham’s 3-0 loss, with Nicolas Jackson netting a first-half brace and Cole Palmer scoring in the second half, Kudus emerged as a bright spot for the Hammers.
Townsend highlighted Kudus’ composure and effort during the match, praising his work rate and skill.
“Mohammed Kudus has great body composure,” Townsend said during the broadcast.
“He’s the only player in this West Ham team trying to make something happen with the ball. He’s a great young player.”
The defeat drops West Ham to 14th in the standings with just four points.
Kudus and his teammates will aim for a bounce-back victory when they visit Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium for their fifth-round fixture on Saturday, with kick-off set for 14:00 GMT.
