Salifu Adam Braimah, the former Savannah Regional Minister and former Member of Parliament for Salaga South, has passed away after a brief illness. He died at the University of Ghana Hospital on Sunday, April 11.
In a statement shared with Citi News, his family expressed their sorrow, describing him as a beloved brother and uncle, widely known as “Uncle Sally.” The statement confirmed that preparations are being made to transport his body to Salaga for burial.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear brother, Uncle Sally, and former Minister of Savannah Region. He died at the University of Ghana Hospital following a short illness. Arrangements are being made to bring his body to Salaga for burial. May Allah grant him entry into Jannatul Firdaus,” the notice read.
Salifu Adam Braimah served as a Ghanaian politician and represented the Salaga South Constituency in the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ticket.
Further details on burial arrangements will be provided by the family in the coming days.
